Five years after Elemae came to a natural end of the line, Engineer Records is proud to bring you the brand new swan song of an EP entitled Tilling The Fallow. This isn't meant for nostalgia though. Here is a set of new songs which stand high on their own platform, speaking out for a group of individuals with intrinsic chemistry that reconnected, however brief, to do what they do naturally together. Never quite comfortably definable by genre specifics, these men of rural New Jersey know how to craft a tune in the classic sense. Soul churning melodies with dynamics upon dynamics of character instilled within thought provoking songs. In fact, at just 5 tracks, Tilling The Fallow plays like a mini-album of sorts, in the way it's ebb and flow leads you from song to song effortlessly, as it rolls out to it's end. Though the band has navigated a musical path through two full-length albums, a split EP, plenty of compilation appearances and a 7" record, it's trite yet accurate to say, we believe these songs are their most focused and resilient yet.
